What is Nexo Piano?
Nexo Piano is virtual piano software with a realistic, stage-piano sound. It ships 11 instruments — concert grands, an upright, electric pianos, a drawbar organ and pads — and plays from any MIDI keyboard, your computer keyboard or the on-screen keys.
How realistic does Nexo Piano sound?
The flagship concert grand has seven velocity layers on every key, sympathetic string resonance, natural note releases and full sustain, sostenuto and soft pedals. It is voiced to sound like a premium stage piano: present and detailed enough to sit in a mix, and expressive enough to play solo.
Is Nexo Piano a good alternative to a Nord stage piano?
If you love the sound of hardware stage pianos such as Nord but want it on your laptop, Nexo Piano aims for that same realistic, playable stage-piano character in software. Play it from the MIDI keyboard you already own, at the price of a plugin rather than an instrument. Nexo Piano is not affiliated with Nord or Clavia.
Does Nexo Piano run on Windows?
Yes, as a plugin. On Windows, Nexo Piano is a VST3 and CLAP plugin that you open inside your DAW, such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One or Bitwig. There is no standalone app on Windows.
Is there a standalone app?
On Mac, yes. The Mac installer includes a standalone app that opens its own audio and MIDI, so you can play without a DAW. It also installs the AU, VST3 and CLAP plugins. The standalone app is Mac only.
Which plugin formats are included?
Mac: standalone app, Audio Unit (AU), VST3 and CLAP — so it works in Logic Pro, GarageBand, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One, Bitwig and more. Windows: VST3 and CLAP.
Do I need a MIDI keyboard?
No. You can play with your computer keyboard or click the on-screen keys. A MIDI keyboard with a sustain pedal gives you the full expressive range.
How much does Nexo Piano cost?
R 599,00 once. One purchase includes every instrument and covers both Mac and Windows. There is no subscription.
How does activation work?
After checkout you receive an activation key. The key is active on one computer at a time; release it from your account to move Nexo Piano to another Mac or PC.
